How to Choose an Online English Tutor (A Checklist From a Tutor)
A tutor's honest checklist for picking an online English tutor: what matters, what is marketing, and what one trial lesson should show you.
Who I teach and how
I work with adults from intermediate level (B1) upwards who already know English but want to sound clearer and more natural in American English: professionals in meetings and interviews, people moving to the US, students preparing for IELTS or PTE, and anyone tired of being asked to repeat themselves. I don't teach children or complete beginners, so every lesson goes straight to the sounds and habits that matter at your level.
Lessons are 50 minutes, one-on-one, in the classroom on this site. We start with a short assessment of your speech, agree on two or three targets (a sound, a rhythm habit, a situation you need to handle), then drill, shadow and apply them in real conversation. You leave every lesson with notes and a small practice routine.
