She listens attentively to my stories, shows genuine interest, and shares about herself as well, which creates a warm, friendly, and honest connection. She helps me improve my pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar through reading exercises and conversation. Her accent is clear, confident, and sincere.

Ashley helped me with a reading about work culture, and it led to a really interesting discussion. She helped me become more aware of my pronunciation while also encouraging me to think more critically about the topic. I especially liked the way she gave feedback in a supportive way.

Ashley is an excellent teacher, she is patient, speaks slowly, and that helps me understand. She has an enormous ability to understand your needs and work on your weaknesses to improve them.

Meet Ashley

A native speaker who has been on your side of the language barrier.

I'm a native English speaker with a neutral American accent. Over the past few years I've lived in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Thailand and Vietnam, and I've learned a second language myself, so I know exactly how it feels to search for a word mid-sentence.

I hold a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in History and a TEFL certificate. I work with adults on conversation, accurate pronunciation, vocabulary and the grammar points that make a real difference in everyday life, as well as IELTS and PTE speaking, job interviews and moving abroad. Every lesson is planned around you.

Questions

Good to know before you book

Who are the lessons for?

Adults at intermediate level (B1) and above who want clearer pronunciation, a more natural American accent, and more confident conversation. Ashley does not teach children or complete beginners.

How does booking work?

Create an account, choose a package and pay. Your credits appear immediately. Then pick any open time on the calendar, shown in your own timezone. Everyone books from the same live calendar, so a time you see is a time you can have.

Will I get reminders?

Yes. You get a notification 24 hours and 1 hour before every lesson, and a calendar file you can add to Google, Apple or Outlook calendar with one tap.

What if I need to cancel or move a lesson?

Reschedule or cancel free up to 12 hours before the start time and the credit goes straight back to your account. Cancellations inside 12 hours use the credit, the same policy you're used to on Preply.

Where do lessons happen?

Online on Zoom (or Google Meet if you prefer). The link is on your lesson page and in your reminders.

How can I pay?

Credit or debit card, PayPal, or Zelle for US students. Zelle payments are confirmed by Ashley personally, usually within a few hours.
