Plain-language terms for lessons booked on this site.
Each package buys a number of lesson credits. One credit equals one private online lesson of the length shown at checkout (normally 50 minutes). Credits are personal and cannot be transferred. They do not expire while you remain an active student; if you take a break longer than 12 months, please message Ashley before booking again.
Lessons are booked on the live calendar. You may reschedule or cancel a lesson free of charge up to 12 hours before its start time; the credit returns to your account immediately. Cancellations or changes made less than 12 hours before the start, and no-shows, use the credit. If Ashley has to cancel a lesson, the credit is always returned.
Please join on time. If you are more than 15 minutes late without notice, the lesson may be marked as a no-show. If a technical problem on Ashley's side prevents a lesson, it will be rescheduled at no cost.
Payments are processed by card (Stripe), PayPal or Zelle. Zelle payments are confirmed manually and credits are released once the transfer is visible. Unused credits from a package can be refunded within 14 days of purchase, minus the value of lessons already taken at the single-lesson price.
Lessons are for adult learners. Recording of lessons requires the consent of both people. Ashley may end a lesson, without refund of that credit, in the event of abusive behaviour.
